We have a waiting list for autism assessment for children under the age of 3, for appointments in the new year.

We expect to resume accepting clients for psychoeducational and autism assessments for older children and teens later in the autumn, for appointments in the winter and spring of 2026.

Family-centered care in a supportive environment
We offer psychological services and psychotherapy for children and adolescents, and we also work with parents and families.

Psychoeducational Assessment

We provide a full suite of psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents to better understand learning strengths and needs, including learning disabilities, ADHD, and giftedness diagnoses.

Autism services

We offer the gold standard in autism assessment, the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition). We also offer psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Therapy

We offer evidence-based psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and emotion focused therapy (EFT). Treatment areas include anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and mood difficulties.

Lighthouse Child & Adolescent Psychology was founded in 2018 by Dr. Anne Ritzema, with the vision of helping families in the Ottawa region participate fully at home, at school, and in their communities. As of October 2025, we are now Lighthouse Child & Adolescent Psychology & Associates. We provide a respectful and family-centered environment that is welcoming for children, teens, and parents.
